Walton Shop celebrates 1st year of trading

The Sam Beare Hospice shop in Walton has been trading for one year and Max Clifford, dropped in to help them celebrate. Sarah James who volunteers in the shop made this lovely cake.

Our Shop Manager Dorte said “It’s been a wonderful experience. We have been really pleased by the support from the local community. People are becoming more aware that although the Hospice is located in Weybridge the care and support is offered across the whole of North Surrey.”

Max Clifford who is a patron of the charity added “I was delighted to be asked to join the celebrations for the 1st anniversary of the Sam Beare Hospice Shop. I can hardly believe it was 12 months ago that I cut the ribbon to launch the shop! They have had a great year – not only for the income they’ve brought in but also the interest they’ve generated – raising the profile of the wonderful care and support provided by Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge.”

If you have not already visited the shop, a visit is well worthwhile, with a wide range of men’s, women’s and children’s wear as well as accessories and vintage clothing.
