The Mayor of Elmbridge chooses Sam Beare
The Mayor of Elmbridge for 2011-2012 launched his Charity Appeal on behalf of Sam Beare Hospice, Weybridge at The Ship hotel in Weybridge on Wednesday.
Cllr John Sheldon made the following announcement ” Within our borough there is a multitude of charities, all dealing with different aspects of need, and indeed my wife and I have met many of them during the past year.
All of them do amazing work, but the one I have been drawn to very strongly is The Sam Beare Hospice Weybridge. Every day one can meet people whose relatives have benifited from this centre of care, every one of them speaking with deep gratitide of the wonderful treatments received, not just for the patient but also the bereaved families , who might otherwise have to endure alone the pain and grief of losing a loved one.”
The Mayor has many exciting events planned for his Mayoral year and is delighted to have the opportunity of helping to fund our work through his Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
Nigel Harding, Chief Executive thanked The Mayor for supporting the Hospice and that his support would certainly help to raise the profile of Sam Beare Hospice within the North Surrey community.
