Fundraiser Karoll receives award
Volunteer fundraiser Karoll Frost has been honoured by receiving a police community award.
The Eric Theobald award was set up in 2006 in memory of a community police officer and is awarded to someone who has gone above the call of duty. Karoll received the award in recognition of selling the Hospices’ car raffle tickets and also for volunteering in the Hospice shops.
Karoll has been volunteering for the Hospice for the last 15 years, raising an incredible £200,000! This year alone she has raised £20,000 for the car raffle and said that favourite location is outside Waitrose in West Byfleet. She is also very determined often working 12 hours day – if there are people willing to buy – Karoll will be there!

Karoll’s mother attended the ceremony saying “Karoll used to talk to Eric Theobald when he was in Woking and she enjoys being out, laughing and joking with the people.”
Karoll was presented with ther award by Mayor of Woking, Ken Howard who added ” Her familiar face can be seen in all weathers . Despite her disability Karoll has spent an extraordinary amount of time helping others.”
Well done Karoll, we are all very PROUD of YOU!
