Liz Cussans MCIPD
HR and Volunteer Services Director
Liz Cussans was appointed HR and Volunteer Services Director of Woking & Sam Beare Hospices in April 2014 after 7 years as an HR consultant for the hospice. The hospice was in fact her first client after setting up her own HR consultancy business in 2006.
Liz started her career in the hospitality industry, completing her Hotel Management course at Brighton University. After leaving university Liz started working in hotels where she soon moved from front of house into the HR department. She has worked for a number of hotel chains as an HR Manager and moved into the healthcare sector in 1994, where she worked as the HR Manager at Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford. Liz remained here until leaving to start her own HR consultancy business.
Liz completed her Diploma in Personnel and Development in 1996 and has now been granted Membership status of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
