What is Gift Aid ?
If you are a UK tax payer you are eligible to authorise a registered charity to reclaim tax by completing a Gift Aid declaration.
Which means we can claim back from the government 25p for every £1 donation made to Woking & Sam Beare Hospices at no extra cost to you.
This additional income can make a huge difference to us increasing donations by 25%.
Claiming Gift Aid on your donation
You can make sure that every donation you make to Woking & Sam Beare Hospices is eligible for Gift Aid by completing this simple Gift Aid declaration form.
This is a statement from you to confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and that you want the charity to claim gift aid on your donations.
Claiming Gift Aid on donations to our shops
We can also claim Gift Aid on any items you donate to our shops by completing a gift aid form in our shops or download here and hand it in with your donation.
Every time you donate to a shop or the warehouse just advise the staff you are registered for Gift Aid the goods will then be labelled and tracked through to sale.
We can then claim an additional 25% of the sale price of the items.
Claiming Gift Aid on funds you have raised
By asking your supporters to tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsorship form and completing the essential information your fundraising can also be increased by 25%.
You must have a full name, home address, amount sponsored and the Gift Aid declaration box ticked for us to claim on eligible donations.
You can download a sponsorship form here.
If you fundraise using an online sponsorship website then Gift Aid will be collected automatically on all eligible donations.
