Woking Football Club are hosting a charity football match on Sunday 24 May at the Laithwaite Stadium, bringing together professionals from the game in aid of four local charities Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing care, Cherry Trees, Emily Ash Trust and Halo Children’s Trust.
The ‘All Star’ team will be made up of current Woking FC players, legendary Cards players, Former England and Premier League players including Paul Merson (Arsenal), David Howells (Tottenham), Marcus Gayle (Wimbledon), Ian Pearce (Blackburn Rovers) and Mick Harford (Luton Town) with more players to be confirmed in the next few weeks.
There will be the opportunity to play in the opposing team of non-professional footballers by signing up to play for a 25 minute quarter game. A total of 44 places will be auctioned off to supporters via the club’s website at £100 each on a first-come, first-served basis, with payment guaranteeing a place on the day for the four 25-minute matches against 44 celebrities/ex players in what promises to be a bumper day out for all concerned.

There will be lots of other activities on the pitch for the whole family to join in with, including penalty shoot-outs with current Cards players, crossbar challenge and meeting the charity mascots.
The gates will open at 10:30am entry on the day: £5 per adult, £1 per child.
All money raised from player play donations, entry on the gate, bucket collections and raffle on the day will be split four ways between the charities.
