Woking Fire Station support the hospice at their family fun day

On Saturday 14 September Woking Fire Station opened its doors for their annual Family Fun day. It was a beautiful sunny day which saw plenty of visitors to the station enjoying lots of activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, fire displays and mini fire engine rides.

Woking & Sam Beare Hospices were invited along as one of their chosen charities for the day and provided refreshments, cakes and jams.

On Monday 30 September representatives from Woking Fire Station visited Woking Hospice to present a cheque for £1082.45, the monies raised on the day were split between the Fire Fighters Charity and the hospice, they also took the time to visit our Bradbury Wellbeing Centre during Feel Good Friday.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Woking Fire Station for choosing to donate these funds to the hospice” Yvette Copping, Senior Community Fundraiser “We would also like to say a huge thank you to our team of volunteers who helped provide the refreshments at the family fun day”
