We are very grateful to have received 28 beautifully decorated Christmas cakes from the Guildford and Woking SugarCraft Guild, which will help raise vital funds for our patient care across North West Surrey. Most have been given to local businesses to raise money with however they choose, but two are being raffled off at the hospice with tickets available in the hospice Garden Cafe and at reception.
The generous and highly artistic members of the SugarCraft Guild have been making and donating cakes to Woking & Sam Bear Hospice and Wellbeing Care for over 10 years and raised more than £35,000 in total.
“We are very grateful to all the amazing members of the Guildford and Woking SugarCraft Guild that created these master pieces and for so generously supporting us over so many years. Countless hours and so much skill goes into each of these cakes and they just get better and more beautiful each year. Thank you very much for treating us to these,” said Krista Lougher, Community Fundraiser for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice.
The Guildford and Woking SugarCraft Guild was founded in 1986 and members meet every second Wednesday of the month to work on their cake decorating skills in various mediums. If you are interested in joining them, watch demonstrations and make new friends, please send an email to Sue Stevens on: firstname.lastname@example.org.
