Seymours Charity Partner 2018

Woking & Sam Beare Hospices are delighted to announce that after being chosen as Seymour’s Estate Agents Charity of the year for 2018 they have raised £20,000 for the hospices.

At the start of the year their aim was to raise the funds through running, football, golf, going in the stocks at the village fetes!, fright nights, sky dives, generous gifts at our Dove Ball and taking part in the Dragon Boat Race , that they went on to win.

To date Seymour’s have raised reached their target of £20k which will fund 357 hours of care. Enabling our Community Nurses to go out every day of the year and provide specialist care to our patients in local communities across North West Surrey.

Phil Wormley, Director of Fundraising said “We are hugely grateful to the employees of Seymours, it is an amazing amount to have raised and it’s great to see they had fun along the way. Funding our nurses in this way is vital, because 70% of our care is delivered in the community and we rely on £4 out of every £5 we receive from voluntary sources. We could not reach the 2,000 people we do every year without the support of fantastic partners like Seymours”.

Franco Orlando, Partner of Seymours Woking commented, “As local owners of the business we wanted to contribute to something special and which would make a difference to the community. Something not just to invest in, but something that everyone within the company would get behind. Woking & Sam Beare Hospices and what they do has inspired our people who have gone above and beyond to raise money for this worthy cause. Money was raised through entering events like The Surrey Half Marathon, The Dragon Boat Race and parachute jumping, to name just a few. We are very proud of all our team and even more delighted to be supporting the hospice into 2019.”
