Events Manager Rachelle Barnette explains:
“There is very often a misconception that because we have ‘Woking’ in our name our care is only available to people living in Woking, when in fact we cover six Surrey Boroughs.
Walton-on-Thames is one of the many towns where we care for people coping with a life-limiting illness, either by supporting them in their own home, or by providing them with services and facilities in our hospice building in Goldsworth Park We are therefore delighted to bring this perfect family event, which many take part in to kick off their Christmas season in a fun and active way, to Walton.”
The Santa Fun Run will starting at 10:30am on Sunday 8 December at the sports hub, and follow a beautiful 2.5k or 5k route along the adjacent Thames River path before finishing on the sports track. It’s suitable for all ages and all participants aged 4 or over will receive a Santa suit. There will be a free Santa hat for all under 3s.
A Santa Fun Run will also take place at the Woking Leisure Centre on the 1 December allowing everyone to choose their favourite day, location or even do both.
