On the 28 April 12 runners took on the 2019 London Marathon to raise funds for Woking & Sam Beare Hospices. Among them was the Chairman of the hospices’ Board of Trustees, Tim Stokes. You can read more about the Chairman’s Challenge here.
So far the amazing runners have raised over £28,000 to help support with our annual running costs of over £8 million. We are very grateful for all their efforts and proud of their achievements.
In 2020, the London Marathon event will celebrate its 40th anniversary, and if you would like to take part and help run and raise funds for the hospice you can apply via our events page here.
If you would prefer to cycle, then we still have places left for the Prudential RideLondon 100 on the 4 August, as well as 5 places for the RideLondon 46. All places must be filled by Monday 27 May.
Anyone who completes the Prudential RideLondon 100, the London Marathon and the two-mile Swim Serpentine event are also awarded The London Classics Medal and listed in the Hall of Fame. So if you fancy taking on a challenge and literally go the extra mile for the hospice, book your places now.
