Reports of fraudulent fundraising collections

There have been reports made from members of the public to us and via social media that they are concerned a group of individuals are fraudulently collecting by claiming to be fundraising on behalf of the Hospice. This has been reported to Surrey Police by the public and the neighborhood team have been informed.

As a charity our community’s support is extremely important to us. We do issue collection buckets and tins to our Community Supporters that are hosting Fundraising Events on our behalf and these individuals are legitimately collecting on behalf of the Hospice. We would hate for their efforts to be undermined as the result of an alleged small handful of opportunists should these reports be confirmed to be true.

If you are suspicious that a person or persons is/are fraudulently collecting on behalf of Woking & Sam Beare Hospice then please do not hesitate to contact our Fundraising Team on 01483 881752.

If you would like to support the Hospice over Christmas then there are other ways you can make a donation by clicking here or as is becoming increasingly popular by setting up your own Facebook Donate.

Woking & Sam Beare Hospice is extremely grateful to all those who fundraise on our behalf and the many ways that our wonderful community supports us to enable us to continue to deliver our care to those with life-limiting and terminal illnesses and their carers and families. As a charity your support is vital.

Every penny really does make a difference to the thousands of Surrey families we are able to care for year-on-year. This we do 24 hours, seven days per week, 365 days of the year and our Clinical Teams will be caring for people in their homes and at the Hospice over the whole of the Christmas period. We therefore thank our community for your continued support.
