The ‘Eagle’ has landed – we are winners!

Woking & Sam Beare Hospices is very excited to share that we were the lucky winners of £10,000 worth of advertising from and just by visiting their stand at the  last month and our advert goes live today [Monday 08 July].

The advert features our new CEO Marian Imrie and Daniel Betson, whose wife and family we have cared for. As a charity it is so important for us to raise awareness about our need for the community’s support and radio is such a fantastic medium for this.

We are using the free advertising with Eagle Radio as part of our 2019 Appeal and we are asking the community to join us at Virginia Water Lake on Saturday 28 September for our new event ‘A Walk to Remember’.

Rachelle Barnett, Events Manager at Woking & Sam Beare Hospices, adds: Stunning views of the lake and surrounding landscape provide the backdrop to our sponsored walk that will take place from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 28 September from the Pavilion Cafe. This is a walk for everyone – your friend, mum, grandpa, children – and we have specially selected different routes to suit all walking paces and abilities. Your canine friends are also very welcome.

Or if you are not able to join us at Virginia Water Lake you can still take part by walking with family and friends wherever you are planning to be on the 28th September.

This is going to be a really special event, bringing our community together to walk in memory of all our loved ones, while having your support to help raise vital funds to enable the hospice to continue to care for thousands more Surrey families.”
