13 year old Daniel Grist was inspired to support the hospice as part of a Global Social Leadership (GSL) course he took part in online during the pandemic.
Daniel undertook a 10 day challenge of riding 10 miles each day. Battling against the elements he completed the challenge riding an amazing 100 miles!
He set a goal of raising £200 but instead managed to raise a phenomenal £445.
Daniel said, “I was asked to help a charity as part of the GSL course. I decided to raise money for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice because the hospice does great work to help many people in our local area; the nurses helped my great uncle enjoy his last bit of life while he stayed in the hospice. I usually cycle a lot and it was good to be out on my bike again – despite some punctures! I really enjoyed the challenge and I am so pleased to have raised more than I hoped to help the hospice.”
Thank you and well done to Daniel on such an amazing achievement,we are so grateful for your support.
