Our new state of-the art hospice in Goldsworth Park has 20 beds over two wards.
There are opportunities available to name these rooms to find out how please contact our fundraising team.
Room 17 at the new Woking Hospice is named after Thomas Di Felice who on the 15 December 2009 was tragically killed in a car crash when he was just 17 years old.
Thomas's family and friends began fundraising for Woking & Sam Beare Hospices in 2010, when they donated the funds to help launch a bereavement group that is part of our children's services called Tommy D, that is for teenagers between 14-18.
The family wanted a long term legacy to remember Thomas and once the new hospice was built they made the decision to begin fundraising to name a room. In November 2017 the family held an Italian Themed dinner dance which in one evening raised an incredible £42,000 which helped towards the naming of room 17.
On the 15th December 2017 marking the eighth anniversary of his death Thomas Di Felice’s family gathered at the hospice to officially open the room in his memory.
