How much does it cost to take part ?

If you register before Friday 29 June you will be eligible for the Early Bird registration fee of £18 after this date entry will be £20 per walker.

You can also register on the night of the event until 9 pm registration fee will be £25.

Your registration includes a “Glow in the Dark” Midnight Walk 2018 t-shirt, fundraising pack and finishers medal.

How old do you have to be ?

You need to be 11 years of age or over to take part but any walker between 11 -17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is taking part in the Midnight Walk.

How long is the route ?

It is a new route for 2018 covering 8 miles starting and finishing at Woking Leisure Centre.

How long will it take ?

The walk will take between 2-3 hours for a fit walker, there is no rush and we encourage walkers to go at their own pace. There will be lead walkers as well as people at the end of the walk to ensure all participants return safely.

All participants are responsible for their own medical condition, if in doubt about your ability to finish the Midnight Walk please consult your doctor prior to taking part.

When will I receive my registration pack ?

When you register, there are two options for you to choose from to receive your t-shirt and fundraising pack. These are you collecting in person or having it posted to you.

If you choose the collection option, you will be able to collect your pack in person from our hospice reception area at the following dates and times:

Thursday 20 September – 4 to 7pm

Wednesday 26 September – 4 to 7pm

The address for collection is Woking & Sam Beare Hospices, Woking Hospice, the Goldsworth Park Centre, Woking, Surrey GU21 3LG.

Please note that we will not be able to store your pack there at other times. If you cannot make one of these open times please choose to have your pack sent to you when you register (£2 p&p per walker applies). If you choose the post option (£2 p&p per walker), your pack will be posted to you during September before the event.

If you register on the night you will collect your pack when you register.

What time do I need to arrive ?

You will need to arrive to check in between 8 -9.30 pm ready to start the walk at 10 pm.

Will there be parking on the night ?  

Parking will be available at Woking Leisure Centre car park with time restrictions. We advise that walkers are dropped off or car share if possible to avoid disappointment and congestion on the night.

Why did the date change ?

Following feedback we received from those who have participated in previous years and were unable to join this year and looking at where the numbers were in comparison to last year the decision was made to change the date to 28 September. We recognise that a large number of people walk in memory of a loved one we wanted to make sure as many of you as possible were able to take part and experience the best possible atmosphere on the walk.
