Summary:
Join our team of passionate volunteers and become a Collection Tin Co-ordinator, helping us to ensure we support the businesses that host our static collection tins.
As a Collection Tin Co-ordinator you would become part of a team liaising with volunteers to ensure collection tins are exchanged in a timeley manner.
This is a flexible volunteering opportunity that can work around you, while helping Woking & Sam Beare Hospice raise funds and awareness among your local community.
Purpose of your role
To work with the Supporter Care team to:
Contact collecting tin host and establish;
- If the tin/s are still present and if a collection is required
- Liaise with Collection Tin Agents re collections and/or placements of tins
Type of work you will be involved with
Using our Database (donorflex) to find records described above and record any communications with both Businesses and Collection Tin Volunteers
Ensuring all required paperwork has been completed in the placement of any new or existing tins
Reporting lost or stolen collection boxes
Provide copies of Certificates as required
Ensure the current list of locations is accurate including; up to date contact information for each site.
Skills and abilities you will be using in the role
Excellent Telephone manner
Attention to detail
Basic administrative skills, using Word, Excel and Outlook

Times/days we would like you to be available – this can be flexible
You can give as much or as little time as you are able. Ideally 2/3 hours a week with flexibility to fit in with your other commitments; Term times, School holidays etc.
