NOW RECRUTING: Furniture Collection and Delivery Driver
Opportunity to join an expanding furniture business
Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care is a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to patients with life limiting and terminal illnesses. Our care in part is funded by the contribution from our Retail Division, of which the Furniture Business is a vital source of income for the charity. The role of Furniture Collection and Delivery Driver is therefore a core part of the business operations.
Based in Knaphill, Woking, the key responsibilities of this role are to assist the Furniture Shop Manager with ensuring the shop floor and storage unit are stocked for in shop and online sales, in addition to driving the furniture van to collect and deliver larger items of furniture. You will also assist the Furniture Shop Manager in the organisation of house clearances. This role therefore does involve heavy lifting and you must have a full driving license. This is a customer facing role and so you will need to have excellent communication and customer services skills.
This is an exciting time to join the Hospice’s Furniture Business that has grown over the last year and we plan to develop further in the future. Not only that you will be contributing to the local community by supporting the funding of the delivery of the Hospice’s care.
