With the opening of a brand new, purpose built, state-of-the-art hospice in Goldsworth Park Centre, Woking & Sam Beare Hospices is leading the way in specialist palliative care for individuals who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses.

The attention to detail in the 20-bed facility is incredible. In-patients benefit from rooms that are beautifully decorated and have en-suite bathrooms and balconies. In addition, each room has a Smart TV that has Skype facilities so patients can speak with loved ones unable to visit them and a range of additional modern day finishingings.

In-patient visitors benefit from having reflection rooms and two family pods that are equipped with kitchenettes and entertainment for children. We also try to enable visitor overnight stay as is appropriate.

The day unit, the Bradbury Wellbeing Centre, boasts a large versatile space with a fully equipped kitchen, together with a spa, physiotherapy gym, assessment rooms and consultation and counselling offices.

While the new hospice is fabulous, Woking & Sam Beare Hospices is far more than just a building and each year our specialist staff continue to care for over 1,400 patients across Surrey.

Our staff are also very excited to now have an education suite on the top floor of the new facility. This means that we can offer an enhanced training and development programme for all our staff, which the community we servers ultimately benefits from, as well as the wider specialist palliative care community.

In-keeping with the excellence of the interiors, nothing less would be expected than the prestige of the hospice gardens that have been designed by landscape designer Charlotte Harris, who is a RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal Winner. Together with the opening to the public of our café, which serves freshly baked cakes and a tasty menu to choose from, the hospice is a vibrant, warm and welcoming place.

Our doors are open to the whole community and not just for those under our care so please pop in and visit us.
