Become a Hospice Guardian

Guardian badgeWe are constantly surprised and delighted by the generosity of support that we receive. Many supporters also show their commitment by making a Standing Order.

Such gifts are doubly valuable to us as they are both predictable and, incurring minimal administration costs, mean that even more of the gift goes to where we all want it to be spent: the care given to patients and their families.

This sort of support allows us to plan for the future with confidence.

Recognising the importance of people who pledge their support through a Standing Order, we are now operating a Guardian programme to mark their contribution. We are hoping that the existing 800 Guardians will continue to grow in number and value to become the foundations for the day-to-day running of our Hospices.

Hospice Guardians

The Guardian name was chosen to reflect that such supporters provide the security that we all seek to ensure that the hospices are not just sustained – but flourish.

We want to develop a two-way relationship with our Guardians. As a Guardian, you will be offered the chance to meet with staff and, in different ways, to become involved with our future. All Guardians will also be recognisable as they receive a discrete lapel pin.

If you are already a Guardian, maybe you might be able to encourage others in your family or social circle to join?

There is no minimum gift amount or frequency with becoming a Guardian. Being a Guardian removes a lot of hassle for you and costs us less to administer. So it is the patients and their families who are the real beneficiaries.

We look forward to meeting you and keeping you up to date with the progress in the care for patients and their families that you will be making possible.
