Style me in Seconds
An historic success!
What a fab weekend! We hope all of our models for the day and all of our customers enjoyed themselves! Massive thanks to everyone who took part in our first ever Style Me in Seconds event, part of the Charity Retail Association. We styled 15 ladies from head to toe in gorgeous vintage outfits and had a lot of very happy customers through the doors! We even styled the Deputy Mayoress, look out for that fancy hat if you meet her! In no particular order, we would like to say many thanks to Tina Smart for her stunning Clinique makoevers,Godalming Vintage Tea Parties for their delicious biscuits, Surrey Jewellery School for making the most beautiful intricate jewellery and being our live signpost in the centre of town on both days, Jackie Witney for beautiful, gravity defying vintage hair styles and of course Mary-Elizabeth Pugsley for capturing the whole day with her stunning photography. The day would definitely not have been as much of a success without you all! Please please tag, like and comment on all the lovely photos and if you would like to be kept up to date with the next fabulous retail event, email firstname.lastname@example.org and request to be put on the mailing list.

Woking Hospice shop is having a makeover!
…and to mark the changes are inviting shoppers to have a makeover with them!
Hospice Shop Management is excited to announce that in August 2016 it is launching a new Vintage section in the charity shop based at 2 Commercial Way.
For the grand opening on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th August, the shop is recreating an event held earlier in the year by the Charity Retail Association. The event was called ‘Style me in Seconds’ and allowed passers-by at Old Street Tube Station to have a professional fashion makeover including hair and nails and then a photo shoot to capture the moment afterwards. This was all for free although contented customers were encouraged to buy the outfits they were recommended, and this money went to the charities involved.
Inspired by the West Byfleet Shop Manager Jo Marsh’s appearance at the London event, after her portfolio impressed the committee organising it, the two-day bonanza will give Woking shoppers the same chance to have their own mini make over by our in-house professional stylists, completely free of charge. At the end of the session they will be invited to buy the outfits and also make a voluntary contribution to the hospices if they wish.
How to join in
The event will take place during shop opening hours 9.30am-5pm. For more information on the day, customers will be able to visit the Style me in Seconds team who will be signing people up at the stand in Mercia Walk.
Appointments can also be made prior to the event; email email@example.com to enquire.
We need volunteers
To help make the day a huge success, we need YOU to help with the makeovers, nails and hair styling on the day. Customers will be hoping for new hair-dos or make-up tips to help set off their brand new look! We also need volunteers willing to dress up in great vintage clothes and show off the super stock available whilst also chatting to passers-by and drumming up interest at our gazebo in Mercia Walk.
Any offer of help would be appreciated, even just a couple of hours. If you can help in any way please contact Gary firstname.lastname@example.org or 01483 881750.
