Bereavement Counselling

The loss of a partner, family member or friend can be devastating. We understand.

We have produced a leaflet on bereavement, including some emotions which you may be feeling and how these feelings may change over time, you can view a copy here.

At Woking and Sam Beare Hospices, we can also provide help in a number of ways. We have an expert team of counsellors trained in bereavement who can guide and assist people as required. They are ably assisted by spiritual care and family support if desired.

For those who may have lost a partner and are feeling very much alone we are also there. Too often, the initial surge of support that may be shown starts to dwindle for understandable reasons. Consequently, we provide social groups and activities where people can meet and share with others who, being in a similar situation, are likely to empathise with what you are feeling.

We also provide specialist counselling for children and young adults where required.
