Volunteer recruitment day a success
On Wednesday 8 February our volunteer services team held an open meeting at St Andrew’s Church in Goldsworth Park, where people could hear about opportunities for volunteering at our new hospice. The main focus of the event was to recruit new volunteers to our existing reception and hospitality teams when we move to the new premises, and more than fifty people expressed an interest in getting involved which was fantastic.
Mary Morgan, Special Projects and Development Manager said “The response was very encouraging and although not everyone will be suited to these specific roles we have lots of other opportunities that might interest people. The project will run until the middle of March and interviews are currently being arranged. Thank you to everyone from the community for taking such an interest in supporting the hospice, we really appreciate it, and thank you to St Andrew’s Church for supporting the open day.”
If you would like to get involved and join our team of volunteers then please get in touch with our volunteer operations manager Gary Woods on 01483 881750 or send an email here. We currently have vacancies in many of our retail shops and are also looking for someone with good computer skills and experience of selling on eBay to join our eBay team.
