Surrey Police support Woking Hospice

23 August 2010

Woking Hospice has been chosen as charity of the year by Surrey Police.

Each year officers and staff nominate a variety of charities that are close to their hearts and this year Woking Hospice was the most popular.

Mark Rowley the Chief Constable of Surrey Police visited Woking Hospice to meet Chris Flemington and tour our facilities to see and hear about the services that the Hospice offer to the community.

Chris Flemington, Chief Executive said " We have received an initial donation today exceeding £2,000 which was raised by the Officers and Staff of the Police Authority and this will be used to meet the costs of running the Hospice. We look forward to working on more fundraising projects over the year."
