Our Day Care Units Celebrate Christmas

Both our Day Care Units have celebrated their Christmas Party in style.

At Woking Hospice, Headley Kay from Music in Hospitals entertained everyone with his guitar and singing, before a cold meats and jacket potatoes dinner was served.

Afterwards the 16 patients played pass the parcel with a forfeit, which brought lots of laughter, followed by a giant card game.

Nora, our volunteer, celebrated her retirement after 13 generous years of supporting the staff and patients in the Day Care, and she will be hugely missed.

At Sam Beare 16 patients enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner with turkey and all the trimmings, before drawing the festive raffle.

Later they were entertained by the Treble Clef Ladies Choir, who sang carols, and the staff who sang and performed the ’12 Days of Christmas’ much to the amusement of everyone. Father Christmas also paid a visit and handed out gifts to patients, which had kindly been donated by the Rotary Club.

Everyone had a lovely afternoon, and you can see all the photos from the Sam Beare lunch in our facebook album here.
