Meet the Sam Beare Santas!
15 December 2011
A week later and the Santas were gathering in Weybridge to take part in the Sam Beare Hospice Santa Fun Run. It was definately for all age groups with babies in pushchairs and younger dressing up in Christmas outfits. Many were running for fun, but also in memory of loved ones and to say thank you to Sam Beare Hospice.
Marjorie Heywood from Weybridge was running in memory of her husband who lost his battle with an asbestos related cancer in 2010 and Mark Pisani dressed in a reindeer suit and had raised over £800 in sponsorship. He said "I'm running this for fun but also to remember my dad. Sam Beare Hospice does a fantastic job and supported me and my family through a really tough time."
