Celebrating 10 years on Weybridge High Street

On Thursday 16th November it will be ten years since the Sam Beare Charity shop and book shop opened their doors on Weybridge High Street and began raising funds and awareness for Woking & Sam Beare Hospices.

Although the original Sam Beare Hospice building has closed the Sam Beare Community Team is still based in Weybridge and very much a part of the local community. Over 70 % of the care provided is in the patient’s own homes and this care is delivered by the community teams 365 days of the year.

“We are caring for over 400 patients in the Weybridge area every week.” commented Barry Quinn Director of Nursing “We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the area for their continuing support “.

To help us mark this special occasion the Mayor and Consort, Councillor Rachael Lake and Ian Lake will be visiting both shops to meet with members of our Sam Beare team the shop managers and our wonderful team of volunteers without who the shops could not operate
