New Year – Do something exciting?

by Lorraine Weedon on 4th January 2013

Leap into 2013 with some exciting NEW challenge events to inspire you to experience a ‘once in a lifetime’ adventure.

You can run, cycle, trek or even jump out of a plane and while you’re having such fun, you will be raising funds to help our Hospice services reach out to support even more people in our community!

Join us for the challenge of a lifetime! Organised through Skyline Adventure, you will climb one of the world’s highest and most iconic peaks Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. It’s a 10 day trek to a height of over 5500m and we are sure it will change your life forever.

Marathon training is a sure way to get 2013 off to a flying start, we have places in the Brighton Marathon in April; and the British10K London Run in July. If you have secured a place in the Virgin London Marathon we would love you to join our team and wear your Hospice vest with pride.

If you would prefer to do your challenge on wheels Nightrider 2013 is a 100k bike ride through the streets of London at night, you will see all the ionic sights lit up. Or how about a London to Paris bike ride, you will cycle through beautiful English villages and into the stunning countryside of rural France finishing in Paris. The sense of achievement you’ll experience will be one you will treasure forever. Ride London 100 is a new event celebrating the legacy of cycling from London 2012. You can take on a cycling challenge like no other through the closed roads of London and the Surrey Hills as you cycle a modified version of the London 2012 Olympic Road Race.

A sky dive is a once in a lifetime experience that will give you the ultimate adrenaline rush so why not join us in April for this adventure and Jump for WSB Hospices.

We have a full listing of events on our events page, so there really is something for everyone, and we look forward to hearing what you will be taking part in during 2013! Email the team
