Volunteer for us

Why volunteer?….we say why not!

Volunteer for usThere are countless charities looking for volunteers, so as you are looking at our website, we hope that you have decided to choose us! Variety, diversity and opportunity are some of the benefits we share. You bring variety and diversity and we can offer opportunities.

Our 850 volunteers bring different dimensions to the Hospices which, in many ways, enhance the experience for families using our services. One of those special qualities is making the place feel like home.

Volunteers support every aspect of our services, except the clinical and medical. Our 17 charity shops would not be viable without the volunteer retail assistants. Our fundraising events are as varied as the teams we need to support them.

All our volunteers are well supported and trained, so you do not necessarily need previous experience, just the passion and commitment to make a difference. Individuals over the age of 16 are considered, so if you can give a Gift of Time, do consider joining our teams.

We are developing new roles this year to support patients and families in the hospice and in the community. We have set up a number of projects with local schools and agencies working with young people.

We need lots more volunteer support for our retail and fundraising roles. There are so many benefits for getting involved, find out what it could mean for you…come on get in touch with us today!
