Volunteer Roles
We have volunteers working in all of these areas:
- Administration
- Complementary Therapies (specially trained)
- Children's Bereavement Services
- Counselling (Must have a certificate of competence)
- Car Raffle Team Member - selling tickets April-October
- Collecting Box Agent (Local Areas)
- Driving patients to attend the Day Care Unit
- Flower Arranging
- Gardening
- Supporting Special Events
- In House Hospice Support
- Leaflet Distributors (Local Areas)
- Magistrates Hospitality Bar
- Publicity
- Retail Assistants - please see our charity shops
- Receptionists
- Ward Visitor's
- Warehouse Assistants
- Warehouse Drivers Assistants
New volunteers are most welcome in these roles and many of them only require a commitment of a few hours a week. There are so many different ways you can help, please don't be put off if you only have limited time. "Every Little Helps!"

How am I supported?
All our Volunteers are highly valued and precious to the Hospices and we recognise this in a variety of ways:
- Hospice Induction
- Role Training
- Probation Period
- Annual One to One Chats
- Special Training, Manual Handling etc
- Treating all our Volunteers as SPECIAL Individuals
