Facilities at the Hospices

On the ward

Woking Hospice has ten single rooms for in-patient care. Each room has en-suite facilities and is on the ground floor, with French windows opening onto the garden or patio. Every room includes a television, nurse call system, recliner armchair, telephone for incoming and local calls and electric remote control beds.

The Sam Beare Hospice, Weybridge has a ten bedded in-patient ward located on the ground floor, there is access to the gardens and courtyard, and each room has a nurse call system and recliner armchair.

Day Care

The day care units at both Woking Hospice & Sam Beare Hospice, Weybridge, enable patients to access repite care, social activities, treatments, bathing and to discuss any problems.

Patients are admitted for a variety of reasons, including pain and symptom control, respite, rehabilitation and terminal care. The average length of stay is between two and three weeks. Woking and Sam Beare Hospices do not have the facilities to offer long term in-patient care.

Going into the Hospice is like going into a private hospital. It's like a home from home. The people are so friendly and always ready to listen to you.
